Technology Divisions and Technology Committees

AIST’s nine Technology Divisions encompass 29 Technology Committees, each focused on specific processes, engineering practices, equipment, or reliability technologies within the iron and steel industry.

Participation in a Technology Committee offers members the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative network dedicated to problem-solving and advancing industry technology. Activities may include plant tours, the development of conference programs, industry surveys, roundtable discussions, technical presentations, and the creation and upkeep of technical reports and benchmarking metrics.

Committee members are expected to attend at least one meeting annually.

Siddhartha Biswas

The networking and professional development opportunities in AIST's Technology Committees will be beneficial for both employees and their employers. I strongly encourage others, especially those who are new to the steel industry, to join relevant Technology Committees and grow the steel industry together for a better future.
