The inaugural installment of the congress brings together the expertise of eight leading engineering professional societies and the National Academies to offer a cross-sector learning and networking opportunity that addresses shared safety challenges. In keeping with its multi-industry approach, the Congress on Safety in Engineering and Industry 2021 (Safety Congress 2021) is envisioned to support a broad cross-section of management and safety professionals in expanding their skill sets for the advancement of their organizations - and themselves. Attendees will learn best practices used by the chemical, construction, manufacturing, steel, metal production, mining, and oil and gas industries, as well as government laboratories and university research and engineering programs.

Those who would benefit from this course include operations/plant managers; project managers and superintendents; risk managers; quality control managers; and environmental, health and safety managers. Academic administrators and department heads; laboratory managers; primary investigators; human resources managers; and government officials would also benefit from the course, as well as occupational safety and health organization staff, and safety/environmental compliance consultants.
